Ragdoll Cats are fluffy, affectionate, and beautiful, with blue eyes, and colourpoint coats. They can be a bit large, with a weight range of 10 to 20 pounds. Mine are at the low end of the scale. They are a "pointed" breed, which means that their markings are somewhat akin to that of Siamese cats: generally a light body colour, with face, ears, paws, and tails being a different, darker hue. One difference: Ragdolls usually have "socks": white paws. There are four coat patterns: bi-colour, van, mitted, and colourpoint, and six colours: chocolate brown, seal, blue (grey), lilac, red (orange), and cream. Points may be solid, lynx, tortie, or torbie (combo of tortie and lynx). Ragdolls got their name from supposedly going limp and floppy when held, but that may just be myth.
My Cats have given me much joy and I love them dearly. :)
